Privacy and security.
HM Supplies Ltd are 100% committed to you the customer, we aim to provide a service that will delight you.
Here are some of the things you should expect from us;
Security
HM Supplies Ltd take security very seriously and have taken various steps over and above the norm to protect your data and data transfer. We only store the necessary information needed to identify customers such as Name, address, delivery details plus the last four numbers of a credit card - purely for linking customers to orders, we do not store credit card details. The credit card details you enter during a transaction are encrypted (for further details see the Protx section below) using SSL High grade encryption provided by Securetrust CA - details of which can be found by clicking on the lock in either your browsers address window or a lock appears on the status bar. We are using a 256bit encryption security system which at present is the highest security available for online payment data protection.
The following is the Protx security statement - we entrust Protx to take secure payments from our site;
As a Payment Service Provider, thousands of businesses outsource their transaction security to Protx. It is their top priority to ensure that transaction data is kept secure at all times.
Transaction security All transaction information passed between our site and the Protx VSP Systems is encrypted using 128-bit SSL certificates. No cardholder information is ever passed unencrypted and any messages sent to our servers from Protx are signed using MD5 hashing to prevent tampering. You can be completely secure in the knowledge that nothing passed to the Protx servers can be examined, used or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information.
Encryption and Data Storage
Once on the Protx systems, all sensitive data is secured using the same internationally recognised 256-bit encryption standards used by, among others, the US Government. The encryption keys are held on state-of-the-art, tamper proof systems in the same family as those used to secure VeriSign's Global Root certificate, making them all but impossible to extract. The data held by Protx is extremely secure and Protx are regularly audited by the banks and banking authorities to ensure it remains so.
The only details we keep securely are your registration details entered when you sign up plus all the information pertaining to your order/s from us. This information is stored to enable the ordering process and is kept confidential between the customer and HM Supplies Ltd.
Your security is our priority so we have gone to great lengths to protect you to ensure your shopping experience with us is absolutely safe. Your details can only be accessed by logging in (or via customer support at our head office). Our login procedures minimise the risk of someone else being able to do this, you are responsible for keeping your login details safe and of course contact us if ever you loose this information.
Anti Fraud checking;
Our online shop utilises new anti fraud techniques that identify the most common types of fraudulent use of credit card details and will automatically prevent some orders from being made. This is to help protect both HM Supplies and credit card holders from misuse of their funds before the details of the transaction even get as far as Protx, who of course have their own set of anti fraud checks in place. With that said it is possible that some legitimate orders are rejected as a result, if that happens to you and you feel it was in error please contact us or telephone on 01276 61550 or 20550 stating the exact problem you are experiencing, we can accept most payments by telephone.

We only have one online method of delivery and that is through Parcel Force which will require someone to sign for and collect at the credit card holders address. When an order is completed successfully and the transaction has been processed our dispatch department will send you an email verifying that the order is being shipped within 3-5 working days, normally next day *. Parcel Force will require a signature from you to accept receipt of the items so ensure someone is there to collect the parcel on the day of delivery.
